…As Remains Of Late Ezinne Ezebuiro Ezebuiro Laid To Rest

The Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu has commended the people of Olokoro clan in Umuahia South LGA for adhering strictly to the NCDC and State Government’s directives as it affects burials, owing to the invasion of Corona Virus Disease, COVID-19.

Dr Ikpeazu made the commendation while consoling the family of the Director General Abia State Street Light Installation and Maintenance Agency, Sir Tony Ezebuiro during the funeral service of their late mother Ezinne Maria Ezebuiro, held at the St Brendan Catholic Church, Umuajata, Olokoro in Umuahia South L.G.A.

In his speech, the governor represented by his deputy, Sir Ude Oko Chukwu noted with delight that social distancing, wearing of face masks, placing of running water with soap and required number of persons in attendance were also observed by the St Brendan Catholic Church as directed by the state Government.

The Governor further reminded Abians on the need to continue to obey laid down instructions by the medical officials, NCDC and Government in relation to the Corona Virus pandemic guidelines and protocols prayed that God will preserve everyone to survive the scourge of the Covid 19 pandemic ravaging the world.

He consoled the Ezebuiro family on the death of their dear mother, Ezinne Maria Ezebuiro who he described as a very devout Catholic and a wonderful community and political leader that sacrificed so much to ensure proper upbringing of her children and development of her Church and community.

The State Chief Executive while pointing out that death is an inevitable and necessary end that is beyond the control of man , urged the Chief Mourner Sir. Tony Ezebuiro and other family members to take heart and prayed God to grant them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss as well as grant the soul of the deceased eternal rest.

Responding on behalf of the family. The Director General of Abia State Street light Installation and Installation Agency, Sir Tony Ezebuiro said they have have taken the death of their beloved mother who lived a fulfilled life of 85 in great sacrifice to God and the Umuajata Olokoro community as the will of God and thanked the state government and all for coming to identify with them in their moment of grief.

Earlier in his sermon, the Rev Father Elias Ibedu who said it is God’s desire that His children inherit eternal life stressed the need for all to live worthy Christian life of service to God to enable them give a good account of their stewardship on earth and described late Ezinne Maria Ezebuiro as a good Christian that contributed to the propagation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
