On Thursday Mr. Ajose Kudehinbu, former Head of Service, HoS, of Ondo State, came hard on the embattled Deputy Governor of the State, Hon. Agboola Ajayi, saying he is the least qualified to rule the state.

Mr. Kudehinbu stated this as a comment on a pictorial post on the Facebook page of the Deputy Governor’s Special Assistant on New Media, Mr. Allen Sowore.

According to Mr. Ajose Kudehinbu, Ajayi lacks the intellectual capacity to govern Ondo state.

Although, Hon. Ajayi is yet to officially declare his intention to run for the number one seat of the state, but there are indication that he would soon dump the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, and join the PDP to contest the October 10, governorship election in the State.

The former HoS narrated how Ajayi, as a former Local Government Chairman of Ese-Odo, lied against him that he was behind the leaked classified documents to the political opponents during late Governor Olusegun Agagu’s government.

Kudehinbu, who was the Permanent Secretary (Cabinet) during Agagu’s administration said the most serious objection to Ajayi’s aspiration, is his penchant to harm the political careers or interests of other people around him.

The former HoS who described Ajayi as an opportunist said he has no clear vision of the society as he also alleged that he “counts his gains not in terms of personal or collective contributions, or of even elementary notion of loyalty but in Naira and Kobo. Such a man shouldn’t be entrusted with our destiny. That’s the man you’re prompting, Allen. That’s the man you want me to support. No, Allen. No, I won’t!!”

According to him, “We do our beloved State great harm, Allen, when we promote the political ambition of anyone, for no other reason than blood relationship or ethnicity. You may be the next victim of his atrocities.

“Let me make my stand unambiguously clear: your candidate is the least qualified to aspire beyond the political level Providence has honoured him with.

However, those of us outside the immediate confines of government, see and are able to identify his footprints, even in an uncharted environment that should attract his honest attention in the resolution of problems and conflicts, especially in his part of the State. I had made allusions to this in some of my previous posts.

“By far the most serious objection to his aspiration, is his penchant to harm the political careers or interests of other people around him. Is that one to be trusted?

“He told people, for example, that I leaked Exco Papers, as Permsec, Cabinet Office, in the Agagu era. I never did!! It was a cheap allegation he canvassed for reasons best known to him. It was a suspicion that arose in my career in the bureaucracy, capable of terminating my career, promptly investigated then and concluded, on which the Cabinet Office, that I led, was given a clean bill of health and the staff were allowed to continue their careers, undisturbed.

“It’s one of the issues I addressed in my memoirs, Walking a Slippery Terrain. The book was written before Dr Olusegun Agagu passed on. It also contains live characters, some who are still alive!

Defending his boss over the allegations made against Kudehinbu, Soworo said, “Yesterday I posted a clean picture of my direct boss, Ondo State Deputy Governor, Mr Agboola Ajayi with the nugget ” The Big Idea” to which many liked and made pleasant comments. But it’s election year in Ondo State and it’s expected that many people also read political meaning to it.

“You mean the picture obfuscated and rattled the camp of the challengers? Politically, the Deputy Governor is like ‘Streambank’ Erosion. He’s facile and affable but yet can move mountain.”
