As 2023 politics begins to pop out, Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike has revealed why i won’t support Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi.
Responding to a question by Arise TV: “If the APC zones its presidency to the south and Rt. Hon. Chibuike Amaechi gets the APC ticket for presidency would you support his candidacy or candidature?”
Governor Nyesom Wike: “If he is running under PDP why not? But if he is running under APC why should I support him? I am not a member of APC.I don’t play politics of where you come from, I don’t do that. I am a true and true Nigerian.
“If Rotimi Amaechi is running for presidency today under PDP and he wins the ticket of the party, why not? But if he is running on the ticket of APC and I am not in APC that will mean I am doing anti-party. That is the problem in the country; I cannot do anti-party at this level. I cannot do that.”
