The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) Has given a Pass Mark to the Senator representing Abia Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Senator Theodore Ahamefula Orji.

The ICPC gave this pass mark today when they visited Abia Central Senatorial District to ascertain the impact of the Constituency Projects sponsored by the Senator Representing Abia Central, Senator T. A. Orji.

The ICPC Delegation was led by Mr. Stephen Obi, accompanied by Mr. Victor Onakpoderuo, and Comrade Nelson Nnanna Nwafor of the civil society organisation who is the Executive Director of Foundation for Environmental Rights Advocacy and Development (FENRAD) Abia State; and Action Aid Abuja, as members. They expressed satisfaction over the projects scattered in all the Local Government Areas of the Abia Central Senatorial district.

In a joint statement issued in Umuahia, the team after an assessment tour of the affected projects said the essence of the visit was to ensure that lawmakers did not divert funds meant for constituency projects captured in the budget and Extolled the sincerity and Transparency of Senator Orji

The team also noted with satisfaction that some of the beneficiaries of the empowerment programmes had become self reliant according to their testimonies during their interactions with the team and has also trained others. The team observed that Senator T.A.Orji’s constituency projects and empowerment programmes in the period under review had positive impacts on his constituents and Eulogized him to keep it up.

The team were satisfied on what they met on ground and the testimonies of the beneficiaries. They commended Senator Theodore Ahamefula Orji for equitable distribution of constituency projects across the six Local Government councils under his senatorial district.

In his vote of thanks, the Chief Liaison officer to Senator T. A. Orji, Chief Ifeanyi Umere thanked the team for the fact finding visit.

In his words, Chief Umere stated that this their visit to Abia Central Senatorial District is symbolic as it will give his Boss, Senator Orji the enablement to attract more projects to his people and it will also portrays Senator Orji as a Transparent Senator, he prayed for their journey mercies as they returned to the destinations. The visited the casava and poultry farms in the selected Local Government Areas.
