On Tuesday President Muhammadu Buhari held a meeting with the All Progressives Congress (APC) governors.
In attendance were Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, Chief of Staff to the President, Ibrahim Gambari.
Some of the APC governors were at the State House, Abuja, while others joined virtually.
The meeting, it was gathered, discussed party and national issues.
Meanwhile, the Federal government has declared July 30 and 31 as public holidays to mark 2020 Eid-el-Kabir aka Sallah celebration.
Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, told Muslims to continue to imbibe the spirit of love, peace, kindness and sacrifice, as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Muhammad.
The minister reminded them to use the period to pray for peace, unity, prosperity and the stability of the country amid COVID-19.
He reiterated the commitment of the Buhari administration to battle the pandemic and appealed to Nigerians to help stop the spread of the coronavirus.
