… Performs Significant Slaughtering of Ram

The Grand Chief Imam of Lagos State, Sheik Suleiman Abu-Nolla has urged both Muslims and non-Muslim residents in Lagos to pray to God to put an end to the ravaging Coronavirus pandemic across the world.

Sheik Suleiman Abu-Nolla made the call in his celebration message to residents of the State on Friday after he had performed the significant slaughtering of ram to mark the commencement of the Eid-Eil-Kabir celebration at the Lagos Central Mosque in line with the State Government’s position on a low-key celebration across the State.

He said, “We need to pray to Allah to heal our land and for Allah to protect us. Those that we have lost in this period, we pray Allah to forgive their sins and accept them as part of people of Jannah”.

The Grand Imam also used the occasion to advise Muslims and residents of the State to follow all safety guidelines as stipulated by those in authority, saying “We need to follow Allah, follow the Prophet and follow those in authority as stipulated in the Holy Quran. So whatever guidelines are given to us in respect of regular hand washing, physical distancing and use of sanitisers, we should abide by them all”.

He advocated for a disciplined and sacrificial disposition on the part of the citizens for a better Nigeria, stressing that there is no success without sacrifice.

The Grand Imam also offered prayers for all prominent Lagosians and those in the position of authority in Lagos State for divine wisdom and true spirit to administer the affairs of the State.
