Akerdolu Commissions Newly Completed Projects At OAUSTECH

The Governor of Ondo State Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN. today 13th of August 2020 commissioned some newly completed projects at the Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology [OAUSTECH] Okitipupa, Ondo State Nigeria.

Speaking at the occasion, Arakunrin Akeredolu praised the vision of the Late Dr. Olusegun Agagu, the former Governor of Ondo State whom he stated that his special passion,sincerity and commitment made the establishment of the university a reality for the entire people of Ondo State and in particular the people of Ondo South Senatorial District.

The Governor further stated that upon the inauguration of his administration on the 24th of February 2017, he had pledged that his administration will see to the rebuilding of the state’s economy, resuscitation of its damaged infrastructure and also restoring and returning the hope of the people of Ondo State to a prosperous trajectory. He explained that the newly commissioned projects in the university is part of the fruition of his promises to promote functional education aimed at real development in the state.

It will be recalled that OAUSTECH for over eight years was a one faculty university, with only ten programmes. However, through the intervention of the Akeredolu led administration, two additional schools which are School of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources and the School of Engineering and Engineering Technology has been added.

Arakunrin Akeredolu promised that his government will not rest on its achievement but will continue to do all that is required to enhance rapid social, educational and economic development in the sunshine state.
