Governor of Abia State, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu has expressed delight at the completion of the newly constructed Osusu Rd, Aba, saying it will last a long time and also promised to sustain the current tempo of constructions going on in different parts of the State for which analysts have described Abia State as “One Big Construction Site”.

Making his view known in a series of tweets via his official Twitter handle today, the Governor lamented the hardship which the former “derelict and forgotten” road had brought upon the people to the extent that “plantain trees were freely flourishing on the road, commercial keke & okada riders could not ply Osusu Rd”, making it difficult for effective “waste management in that axis” as “evacuation trucks could not find their way through”.

Continuing, Governor Ikpeazu said it got so bad that “EEDC had to cut off Osusu from the National Grid” with businesses and livelihoods ceasing and life virtually coming to a standstill in the area.

The Governor then congratulated the people of Osusu Rd on the newly constructed road by his administration saying the people of Abia should expect more!
