Following the announcement of date for the conduct of the Bye Election for Aba North) South Federal Constituency Seat, the Youths of Aba under the auspices of Supreme Youths of Aba Indigenes has called on the President and Founder of Alex Ikwechegh Foundation Chief Alex Ikwechegh to answer the thousands of call by the Youths, Men, Women and Stakeholders in Aba by publicly declaring interest in the race.
The Youths said the call became necessary Following his overall acceptability by Political Leaders, Youths , Men, Women and the voting populance in Aba North and South Federal Constituency.
A Statement Signed on Saturday by the President of the Supreme Youths of Aba Indigenes and Councillor Representing Ogbor 1 Ward 10 in the ABa North Legislative Council Hon. Chiemela Amanze Egege, the Youths said the Peoples Democratic Party needs a candidate that has general acceptability in Aba North and South which he said Chief Alex Ikwechegh is the man which such qualities.
“The Youths of Aba are calling on Chief Alex Ikwechegh to answer us and immediately Prepare to pick up the Nomination and Expression of interest form from the Peoples Democratic Party ahead of the March 27 Bye Election”
“We need a Candidate that can be accepted at the polls by the electorate and we are very Certain that Chief Alex Ikwechegh is the man to beat”
Hon Amanze called on the Peoples Democratic Party to be mindful of those who may want to blackmail the Party on ethnic lines as they did in 2015 and 2019 which made the Party to lose the seat to the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA).
