Please dear Party faithfuls, let us use a minute to pay our respects to our leader and a great representative who it pleases God to take away from us, Hon Rtn Ossy Prestige..
May God grant his soul eternal rest and peace in his bossom and give his immediate family, the APGA family and ABA North and South Federal Constituecy the fortitude to bear this great irreparable loss.. Amen

I am very happy that despite the emergency nature of this meeting, you all gathered here within a short notice, it shows the great love you all have for the party and the respect you have for me and ask that you keep it up..

We all know that despite the fact that we are still mourning the death of of our leader, INEC has fixed the date for a bye election to elect a new representative on Saturday 27th of March 2021

This development have thrown up a lot of confusion among us as we were not yet recovered from the shock of the death of our representative and it’s hard to start talking about the politics of replacing him. However, be it as it may, we are all law abiding and must respect the dictates of the law and must put our house in order so as to present the best candidate for the bye election..

I want to appreciate those who has visited me as the leader of the party in the state right now by virtue of occupying the highest elective office in the party from the state, urging me to come out and contest for the vacant position and pledging their unflinching support..

However, after due consultations and prayers, I want to inform you all that I am not interested in contesting for the seat my brother, my good friend, my boss and my leader late Hon Ossy Prestige left … Not that I am not qualified to contest nor I don’t have what it takes to contest but my decision is borne out of pure love and respect for our late Leader..

However I want to set some records straight, our leader late Hon Ossy Prestige did not anoint anyone or appoint anyone to take over from him before dying and it will amount to disrespect for anyone to use such narrative to wipe up sentiments..

Also I want us to understand that there are a lot of interests and other political parties involved in the bye election as Aba North and South Federal Constituecy does not belong to Hon Ossy prestige or APGA but to the entire people living, working or doing business in Aba, who has their voter’s card registered in Aba..

I encourage you all to come out during the primaries and choose whoever you feel will fly the flag of the Party well and I promise to support fully whoever comes out victorious after the primaries, I have no personal interest in any of the candidates but will accept and support whoever emerges the winner after the primaries…

We should remember that the goal is to win the main bye election and retain Aba North and South Federal Constituecy for APGA in honour of our late Leader Hon Ossy Prestige..

Thank you
