Abia State Governor Dr Okezie Victor Ikpeazu has warned all those plotting to create problems in Aba to stay clear of the City on Saturday 27th Match 2021.

The Governor said he will fully be incharge and assume all the powers conferred on him by relevant Laws of the land.

The Governor who was Speaking in a monitored Radio interactive session with Abians advised the people to vote PDP come Saturday March 27th 2021.

“Let me make it abundantly clear to everyone, especially those who plan to create problems in Saturday’s election that as Governor, I will be fully in charge of security on that day and I will assume all of the powers confered on me by all relevant laws to secure our people. I am from here and I know all the nooks and crannies here. We will grab you before you even start your evil plans. Nobody will be allowed to come here and attempt to create problems for us. We are known here for peaceful elections and that record must remain unblemished”.

“Chimaobi Ebisike as a candidate of the PDP, a man of the people, well known by all and loved by all. At the House of Reps, Ebisike will add his voice against establishment of RUGA in our State because we don’t have enough land for that. He will be our strong voice and help ensure that our people are safe.

“Here, we prefer to stick with the party that has given our people the opportunity of being Senate Presidents. PDP gave us a Chief of Army Staff. PDP gave us an Inspector General of Police. PDP gave us a Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, amongst others. It doesn’t make sense to us to leave such a party and align with a party that doesn’t see us good enough to head the Federal Fire Service or even Civil Defence”.

“The PDP is a Party that has given not only the Igbo zone but all parts of the country opportunities for very critical leadership responsibility but the APC could not trust the Igbo man to head even the Civil Defence or even the Peace Corps. It is the spirit that made us give Ebisike the party ticket, to ensure fairness and equity”.

If violence erupts in Abia on Saturday’s Aba North and South Federal constituency , Orji Uzor Kalu will be held responsible..

Let every hoodlum or thug who was brought in by these unscrupulous people pack out from now till 12 noon tomorrow to his home State..We are ready and fully mobilized.

We won’t allow anybody tarnish the record of peace, harmony we have built
We are a state renowned for non violent elections and no one will stand on our way in maintaining that record..I assure Abians

Nobody will anything violent in Aba on Saturday

“The era of imposing redundant and docile family members who will not protect the interest of the people is long gone. The brother of a former Governor who was there was so dumb that he didn’t contribute to debates at the National Assembly for eight good years, not even to say a closing prayer. But they want to impose another brother of theirs again. Aba people will not succumb to such deceit”.

“It is sad that a former Governor would claim that a road we are doing, conceptualised by us, paid for by us using tax payers’ money etc will be dubiously attributed to another entity. When the former Governor used his company to execute contracts, he was simply round tripping our money and quality would surely be compromised. And that was what happened at that time”.
