On Wednesday some family members of the arrested loyalists to Sunday Igboho have thronged major streets in Ibadan demanding the release of the arrested persons.

Recalls that last week Thursday, some people were arrested at the house of Sunday Igboho.

Igboho’s residence located in the Soka area of Ibadan was invaded by operatives of the Department of State Service (DSS) around 2am last Thursday.

The Department of State Service (DSS) confirmed the arrest of the thirteen persons.

DSS confirmed the invasion during a press conference Thursday night.

But, family members and relatives of those who were arrested have called for the release of their kinsmen.

The family members during the protest staged at Sunday Igboho residence on Wednesday described the arrests as illegal.

The family members who later moved to the Lagos/Ibadan expressway also blocked the road for some minutes.

They later moved to Sanyo and Soka area of Ibadan.

They also moved to Challenge and Molete areas in demand for the immediate release of the arrested persons.

Our correspondent reports that the protesters are currently on their way to the palace of Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Saliu Adetunji to press home their demands.
