On Friday the former presidential candidate, Dele Momodu, has settled a running battle between members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB and ex-aide to Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri.

In a recent interview with Reuben Abati, Omokri claimed Nnamdi Kanu, the IPOB leader, displayed a high level of carelessness by travelling to Kenya where he was arrested and handed to the government of Nigeria.

Omokri, an ex-aide had further blamed Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, for his recent arrest.

Omokri berated the IPOB leader for travelling to Kenya, a country, according to him, notorious for body-snatching.

Omokri had suggested that Kanu should have learned one or two lessons from him (Omokri) for successfully staying away from Nigeria since 2015 when Muhammadu Buhari became President, knowing the government would be happy to arrest him.

Omokri absolved Buhari of any blame for Nnamdi Kanu’s arrest because, according to him, the President had never hidden his tendencies towards achieving it.

But Omokri’s position on Kanu’s predicaments angered followers of the separatist leader who began to attack him on different social media angles.

But Dele Momodu said he has settled the two parties, saying, “I saw the altercations between @renoomokri and supporters of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and feel very disturbed about the unnecessary distractions.

“I have reached out to RENO for a total ceasefire because there are bigger issues at stake. I’m glad he has agreed to drop the matter… Thank you.”
