The ex-President, Nigerians in Diaspora (NIDO) in Singapore, Asia, Jonathan Obaje, says he is not aware of any member of the association living in Afghanistan.
The member of NIDO-Asia and scientist based in Singapore spoke with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday.
The Taliban chased out civil authority in Afghanistan leading to the evacuation of foreign nationals.
Obaje said even if there are Nigerians living in the country, they would be a few private individuals.
“Of course, there is no country where there are no Nigerians. But in Afghanistan, none has registered as a member of NIDO.
“There is no known Nigerian embassy in Afghanistan and it is very difficult to get contacts.”
Obaje advised the federal government to reach out to the troubled nation’s diplomatic mission in Nigeria.
