At Dedication of New Church Building, Abia Speaker Says Onwusibe is a Politician Worthy of Emulation

The Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Engr Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji and his wife, Dr Mrs Onyinyechi Orji earlier today graced the dedication of a new church building built by Member representing Isiala Ngwa North State Constituency, Hon Ginger Onwusibe and his 50th Birthday/21st Wedding Anniversary which held at St Luke’s First African Church Mission, Amapu Ntigha, Isiala Ngwa North LGA.

In his speech, the Speaker congratulated the celebrant and his immediate family on the noble achievements.

Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji described the celebrant as a man of vast positive attributes, a politician worthy of emulation, a gifted leader of the people and a purposeful politician.

“You have navigated through the rough and unsteady path of life, yet you remain focused and made sure you carved a niche for yourself; you rose from the ranks of a Councillor to an Assembly Member which is a clear indication of your steadfastness and productive political activism”, Rt Hon Orji said.

Finally, the Speaker wished the celebrant and his family more years to celebrate in good health and prosperity.

Earlier in his speech, Hon Ginger Onwusibe said he was grateful to God for his endless blessings upon him which he described as immeasurable.

“Despite the struggles and hurdles of life, God has shown me immense blessings and unexplainable favour which have made me stand out amongst my contemporaries. I am a product of grace which made me to strive harder to make sure that this edifice of worship is completed despite the numerous challenges faced,” Hon Onwusibe said.

He thanked all that came to celebrate with him and wished them safe journey back to their various destinations.

The Primate of First African Church Mission, His Eminence, The Most Rev’d Dr Sunday O. Matilukuro gave the sermon.

Afterwards, guests were treated to a reception at Amapu Ntigha Primary School.

Deputy Governor of Abia State, Rt Hon Ude Oko Chukwu, Senate Minority Leader and Member representing Abia South Senatorial District, Chief Enyinnaya Harcourt Abaribe, former National Organising Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Col. Augustine Akobundu rtd, Clerk/Permanent Secretary of Abia State House of Assembly, Sir JohnPedro Irokansi, immediate past Vice Chancellor of Abia State University Uturu, Professor Uche Eleazar Ikonne, National Assembly Members, State Assembly Members, Executive Chairmen of Local Government Areas, Clergymen, Traditional Rulers and other dignitaries attended the occasion.
