The Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Engr Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji yesterday attended the child dedication reception ceremony of little Master Okechukwu Bernardino Enyinnaya, son of Comrade & Dr Mrs Okechukwu Austin Shell.
The Speaker while thanking God for His blessings upon the life of the family said children are gifts from God and that it is a big testimony to the glory of God that a woman conceives, goes through the nine months journey of pregnancy and delivers safely.
He further said children are wonderful gifts from God and that the arrival of a new baby is always exciting because they represent life, hope and the promise of love.
Concluding, the Speaker prayed that the baby will continue to grow in grace and wisdom.
Responding, Comrade Austin Shell said he was overwhelmed by the presence of the Speaker, and thanked him for coming to celebrate with his family. He wished the Speaker well in all his political journeys and prayed God to continue to push him to greater heights.
The Executive Chairman of Umuahia South LGA, Hon Benson Humphery Chukwudi Benson accompanied the Speaker to the occasion while a former member of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Max Ndukwe Adindu and a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party and a former commissioner in the State, Sir Tony Ezebuiro, the Youths Director in the Speaker’s campaign council, Hon Benjamin Ifeanyi Apugo, the leader of Urban Youths for Good Governance (UYGG), Sir Tony Oguejiofor, the President General of Ibeku Youths Association, Mr Nwosu Chiedozie Martins were present at the occasion.
