Bende Women Pay solidarity visit to Hon Nnenna Elendu Ukeje, vow to mobilize support for her come 2023

Thousands of women of Bende Local Government Area on Friday paid a solidarity visit to Hon Nnenna Elendu Ukeje, they decried marginalization and vowed to work with her for the upliftment of women in the Constituency.

The women who spoke on Friday during an interactive meeting with Hon Nnenna Elendu Ukeje (ADA UKWU BENDE) said they cannot abandone their own for another person in 2023.

Mrs Nneka Ogbo, Mrs Uwaka and Nwanyioma Chukwu said the women has made up their mind to vote for Hon Nnenna Elendu Ukeje.

“Each time I ask they always point out to what Nnenna Elendu Ukeje did even in Akoli and other areas,even this last August meeting,she did something for the women, we must support her in 2023, I do not do politics but today, I have declared for the PDP”

“Item women are solidly behind you” they said.

Madam Imo who spoke for Uzuakoli said the women of Uzuakoli are solidly behind the candidature of Hon Nnenna Elendu Ukeje

Mrs Chinyere Eke said Hon Nnenna Elendu Ukeje buiit school for Amato Igbere and that the women of Igbere will give her massive support come 2023.

Chief Mrs Uzoma said said the women of Ozuitem will massively vote for Hon Nnenna Elendu Ukeje.

Madam Dorathy Igwe who spoke for Umuhu Ezechi said the women of Umuhu Ezechi and Bende are solidly behind Hon Nnenna Elendu Ukeje

Mrs Oluchi Jacob from Ezeukwu said the Hall Hon Nnenna Elendu Ukeje buiit for them is still standing till date, she vowed to mobilize women to vote for her come 2023.

Elder Juliet Patrick who spoke for Itumbauzo women said the women of Itumbauzo will massively vote for Hon Nnenna Elendu Ukeje come 2023.

Madam Hannah Patrick who spoke for Alayi women said the women of Alayi will massively ensure that their daughter is returned to the House of representatives

Hon Nnenna Elendu Ukeje in her address told them of the need for greater female participation in governance as she said that countries that have women in the governance space do better economically, socially and are more secured, drawing from her past record, she reminded them of her vibrancy as scandal free tenure in the National Assembly.

“We must have more women in governance, in governance we only have four percent of women which is not encouraging”

“In House of Representatives, we have only 9 women of out 360 members, what that means is that there won’t be women to defend any bill about women”

“When a representative is part of your oppression, sending back such representative is to continue in that oppression”

“When I was in the house of representatives, i didn’t bring disgrace or any scandal to Ndi BENDE, and come 2023 I will restore the dignity of Bende Federal Constituency.

She called on Bende women to be steadfast in their support to the PDP as the party with the right mindset to deliver dividend of democracy to Bende people.

The candidate of the PDP for Bende North State Constituency Dr Nnamdi Ibekwe who witnessed the meeting called on the women to vote for Hon Nnenna Elendu Ukeje and other PDP candidates come 2023.
