On Friday the deputy gubernatorial candidate of African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the 2023 election in Oyo State, Evangelist Emmanuel Oyewole, has dumped the party.

While addressing journalists Oyewole made the announcement at a press conference in Ibadan.

It was gathered that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released names of gubernatorial and deputy gubernatorial candidates in the state.

Oyewole has, however, said he has dumped ADC.

Oyewole is a former Oyo North Senatorial chairman of ADC.

Oyewole, who hails from Igboho in Oorelope local government said that he has dumped the ADC and joined the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

He said that he dumped ADC and joined PDP because of the achievements of governor Seyi Makinde.

He said, “I am the deputy gubernatorial candidate of ADC in 2023. I have joined PDP.

“What Makinde is doing made me join PDP.

“We have seen what he has been doing. Our intention is to make Oyo state better and he has been doing it”.
