As he has done in other places, he asked them to itemise three of their most pressing needs as a community and document same so it could serve as a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between him and them. He also informed that the document would serve as a guide for his project planning and execution from the Federal House of Representatives. He also said he would like to be held accountable to the document by the people after four years as he is committed to their welfare.

Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji promised to deploy his experience, expertise and connections to attract critical infrastructure to the constituency.

Addressing the women, Rt Hon Chinedum Enyinnaya Orji said he has the utmost interest of women at heart, and that was the reason he sponsored the Abia Female Rights Law which enables females inherit their late father’s properties, and also save them from oppressive practices.

Recalling his water, school, road and mini-stadium projects in different communities including youth and women empowerment, the Speaker said he embarked on the projects because of his commitment to the people and their welfare, promising that he would do even more from the National Assembly.

He also urged the people to vote for Col Austin Akobundu (rtd) for Abia Central Senatorial District and Kelechi Nwakodo for Umuahia East.

The Speaker then visited the oldest man in the community popularly known as De Ali who on sighting Rt Hon Chinedum Orji burst into songs of praise and prayed for him for success in his political endeavour.
