–Says Governor elect Of the PDP Peter Mbah forged NYSC presented to INEC–

Governorship candidate of the Labour Party in the March 18 Governorship election in Enugu State Mr Chijioke Edeoga has filed his petition at the Enugu State election petition Tribunal sitting in Enugu, Nigeria.

Edeoga in petition number EPT/EN/GOV filed on his behalf by his lawyers Asiwaju Adegboyega Awomolo(SAN) Chief S T HON(SAN) Chief Alexander Chukwudi Ejesieme(SAN) Audu Anuga(SAN) Eyitayo Fatogun(SAN) M J Numa(SAN) is asking the Enugu State Governorship election tribunal to declare him as the Governor of Enugu State on grounds that the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Mr Peter Mbah forged the NYSC discharge certificate he presented to the Independent National electoral commission.

In the grounds of Petition made available to PUO REPORTS, Edeoga contended that Mr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah as of the time of the election was not qualified to contest the Enugu State Governorship election, that he was not duly Elected by the majority of lawful votes cast at the election and that his declaration is invalid by reason of non-compliance with the Electoral Act,2022.

In his facts to support his petition at the Tribunal, the Labour Party candidate said Mr Peter Mbah at the time of the election, was not qualified to contest the disputed election to the office of the Governor of Enugu State,in that he presented a forged National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificate bearing certificate number: A808297 to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

He prayed the Tribunal to nullify the declaration of Mr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah as the Enugu State Governor elect and declare him the winner of the 2023 Governorship election in Enugu State.
