A 400 level Student of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka , Anambra State has bene arrested for masterminding the kidnapping of his best friend days after he flaunted money on social media.

Ndome Godsent Ogar, a student in the Department of Medicine, was reportedly arrested by the Anambra State Police Command after he allegedly connived with some people to kidnap his friend, a 300-level student from the Department of Medical Laboratory.

The incident has sparked outrage and disbelief among students, staff, and members of the public who are still grappling with the heinous crime.

Ndome, who was paraded in a video that has since gone viral, was seen being interrogated about his involvement in the criminal activity.

He confessed that his gang demanded a N4 million ransom, which was paid before his friend was released.

The suspect reportedly also kidnapped a primary one pupil in Umuanuka Otolo Nnewi and demanded a ransom of N700k before the child was released.

The news of Ndome’s arrest comes days after he had gone viral on social media for flaunting money in a hotel room and talking about having fun at night. Many people had expressed their disapproval of his actions, citing it as a display of wealth that could attract danger.

Little did they know that the danger would come from Ndome himself, who allegedly used his newfound wealth to perpetrate a heinous crime against his best friend.
