The member representing Ohafia North State Constituency Hon Mandela Obasi has been elected as the new Deputy Speaker of the Abia State House of Assembly.
His election followed tye suspension without pay of the former Deputy Speaker Rt Hon Ifeanyi Uchendu and others from office.
The motion for his election was moved by Hon Jerry Uzosike and Seconded by Hon Emmanuel Ndubuisi.
