The State Working Committee of the Labour Party Abia State, said it has analysed development within the Party in the State and consulted with the National leadership and the Constitution with regards to the issue of stakeholders, and hereby warned members to stop tagging themselves as Stakeholders.

In a statement endorsed by Rev Andrew Ohiagba, Secretary Labour Party Abia State, the party said the only known organs of the Labour Party are the State Working Committee, State Executive Committee, Local Government Executive Committee and Ward Executive Committee.

“There’s nothing like stakeholders constituting themselves as a forum in our Constitution. Stakeholders are men and women who are supporting the development of the party and acknowledged by the SWC through the LGAs Chairmen”

” We will no longer tolerate any deviation from the set down rules of our party, which is necessitated by over zealous newcomers who may not have contributed to the growth of the Labour Party Abia State”

“We have activated our internal control systems to monitor across all LGAs in Abia State and report any suspicious activity of any kind and report back to the party for necessary actions” he said.
