Abia State Governor Dr Alex Otti has ignored the provisions of the rules of the civil service in the appointment of Mrs Njum Onyemenam as the new Accountant General of Abia State.
The office of the Accountant general is not a political appointment but a career appointment that must be a Director of Finance in the State Civil service.
However, the announcement of Mrs Njum Onyemenam as the new Accountant General is opposite of the provisions of the Civil service rule.
Njum, the new Accountant has an MBA from Lagos Business School, Pan-Atlantic University and is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS). She also served as the Vice President (Finance) of the Executive Council of the BGS Lagos Business School, Pan-Atlantic University Chapter 2018/2019.
