There is an underground plot by the Governor of Abia State Dr Alex Otti to accuse the Vice Chancellor of the Abia State House Uturu Prof Maxwell Ogbulu of fraud and subsequently suspend him as the Vice Chancellor of the Abia State University.

The Governor has directed the freezing of the accounts of the Abia State University as he has commence underground investigation of the management.

Abia State University is the only tertiary institution remaining whose head has not be removed by the Governor due to certains provisions in the governing council of the Abia State University.

Recall that the Governor two weeks ago sacked the Rectors of the Abia State Polytechnic, Abia State College of Technical Education and the Abia State College of Health Sciences and management Technology Aba while that of ABSU was not affected.

A University source who confirmed the development to our correspondent said what is playing out is all targeted at Prof Maxwell Ogbulu which will pave way for the emergence of a certain Professor from Arochukwu Local Government Area as the acting Vice Chancellor of Abia State House.

The alleged funding of the governorship ambition of late Prof Uchenna Eleazar Ikonne and other Financial allegations have been lined up to be used to suspend the Vice Chancellor whose tenure is remaining two years to elapsed.
