BREAKING: Governor Alex Otti redeploys Staff of Abia State Liaison Offices in Lagos, Abuja
Despite non payment of workers salaries for the Months of April and May 2023, the Executive Governor of Abia State Dr Alex Otti has ordered all the staff of and officers of the Abia State liaison offices in Abuja and Lagos to immediately return back to Abia State.
Governor Alex Otti in a letter titled ” REDEPLOYMENT OF STAFF AND OFFICERS OF ABIA STATE LIAISON OFFICERS IN LAGOS AJS ABUJA sighted by PUO reports on Wednesday, directed them to report to the office of the Abia State Head of Service on or before Tuesday June 27th 2023.
The letter which was endorsed by the Secretary to the Abia State Government Prof Kenneth Kalu is not going down well with staff of the Abia State liaison offices in Abuja and Lagos who are suspecting victimization for being family members to the past administration of the People’s Democratic Party(PDP).
“We heard that the Governor wants to bring his own people here, even if he must do that, must he redeloy everyone,how do we start packing back to Abia State after spending years here” one of the affected staff in Lagos liaison office told PUO reports.
Some of the staff working at the two liaison offices have spent over 10years and may find tmiy very difficult to relocate back to Abia in compliance to Governor Alex Otti’s deadline of Tuesday 27th June 2023.
