The high rate of insecurity ravaging the Okigwe -Uturu road took another dimension in the evening of Thursday, 13th July, 2023 as Gunmen kidnapped two Optometry students of the Abia State University identified as“Kanu Chidera Vincent and Ohaebulam Maryann” while coming back from lectures.
PUO Reports Campus correspondent who filed in this report on Sunday said the development has caused panic among students as the kidnappers are yet to make any call to family members or coursemates of the two students.
President of the National Optometry Students Association in Abia State University Comr. Awazie Ifeanyi Emmanuel confirmed the development, he called on the Abia State Government to come to the rescue of the ABSU students.
