The Chairman of INEC, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, announced that the commission will conduct four bye-elections to fill vacant National Assembly seats.
These vacancies were created by lawmakers who were nominated for ministerial positions by President Bola Tinubu.
The elections will also serve as an opportunity for INEC to test run some suggestions and recommendations made at the post-election meeting with stakeholders.
Additionally, INEC aims to plan better for the upcoming Imo, Bayelsa, and Kogi elections scheduled for November 11.
