Abia State College of Health Sciences and Management Technology is currently enmeshed into administrative crises following the appointment of one Peter Nwosu as the Bursar of the Institution.
Investigations by PUO reports revealed that Peter Nwosu who is till date on Grade level 6, was imposed as the Bursar of the school by the acting Rector Mr Aloysius Ekeneme who was appointed by Governor Alex Otti.
Further findings revealed that Mr Peter who was employed as a Junior staff with National Diploma on grade level 6 till date has not been converted to a Senior Staff.
Inline with the Civil Service rule, no staff who has not attained Grade level 14 can be appointed as Bursar but the current Rector claims that he got the approval and protection of the Governor Dr Alex Otti to carry out such rascality in the Health Institution.
Efforts to get clarification from the government proved abortive as a Senior official of the government merely told our correspondent that “it was an internal affair”.
Governor Alex Otti since assumption of Office as Governor of Abia State in May 29 has not shown any regard to laid down procedures especially in the State Civil Service.
