On Friday Aloy Ejimakor, Special Counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, identified those behind the continued incarceration of the agitator.

Ejimakor claimed that the Presidency is holding the agitator and not the Supreme Court.

He disclosed this while stressing that the Federal Government cannot continue to detain Kanu with the release of Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Igboho.

Posting on X, Ejimakor alleged that Yoruba leaders facilitated Igboho’s release.

According to Ejimakor: “The persisting incarceration of MAZI NNAMDI KANU has become more unsustainable with the release of SUNDAY IGBOHO, especially as it was done with the support of Yoruba leaders & Tinubu (@officialABAT). To be sure, it’s the Presidency that is holding #MNK, not the Supreme Court.”

Recently, Igboho regained freedom after two years in Beniese prison after he fled Nigeria due to a declaration by the Department of State Service, DSS.

At about the same time Igboho was arrested, Kanu was also picked up in Kenya and subjected to extraordinary rendition.

Kanu has been detained by the DSS while he continued his trial since returning to Nigeria.
