Student Leaders drawn from all the Tertiary Institutions in Abia State are currently stranded in the street of Abuja over lack of support from Abia State Government to enable them successfully participate in the ongoing National Convention of the National Association of Nigerian Students(NANS) which is currently holding in Abuja.
Speaking to our correspondent, the student Leaders said “hunger is finishing them” as they don’t have Food nor money for Transportation to and fro to the Convention venue.
Some other student Leaders who didn’t have the Transportation money to fund their transportation to Abuja couldn’t make it to the convention.
It was also gathered that the candidate from Abia State contesting for a National Office is struggling to meet up because of lack of Sponsorship.
Other State Government fully supported their students for this Convention except Abia.
“We are calling on Governor Alex Otti to come to our aid, we need Support to successfully participate in this Convention which ends on Friday 1st December 2023” the students said
