~As SDP bids him farewell

Yesterday, Friday the 5th January, 2024, Senator Magnus Abe, the 2023 governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) now erstwhile member of the party, met with the Stakeholders/State Working Committee Members of the SDP in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The meeting was inline with his announced return to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

At the meeting, the state leadership of the party had a ‘one on one’ interface with the former member of the National Assembly. Senator Abe while speaking, made an appealing recollection of his shared moments with the members of the party through the ‘thick and thin’ that greeted the last general election in the state.

He thanked the leadership and members of the party for their immense support and for offering him the platform to participate in the last election. He also assured of his continuous open door and friendship with the members of the party both at the state and national level, as his relationship with the SDP had gone beyond politics.

As expected, everyone in the meeting couldn’t hide their emotions in the face of the reality that such a phenomenal political juggernaut was leaving back to the APC, however, the state party chairman, Hon. Osaro Solsuema, who spoke on behalf of the entire party leadership, stated unequivocally that Sen. Abe was leaving the party better than he met it, and to sustain his impact and legacy, they will work tirelessly to keep the flag flying.

Osaro, on behalf of the stakeholders of the party, prayed bliss of the future endeavors of Senator Magnus Abe as he returns to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
