Mohammed Gata, the center referee for the Nigeria Premier Football League, has been suspended by the Nigeria Football Federation from officiating any further games.
In a memo to the official, Mohammed Ameenu, the chairman of the referee committee, verified this.
Gata has been suspended with immediate effect.
During the matchday 24 match between Katsina United and Heartland at Muhammadu Dikko Stadium last weekend, referee Gata was deemed unsatisfactory.
The game ended in a 1-1 draw between the two sides.
Two more match officials were reportedly suspended earlier due to fallout from the matches on matchday 24.
