Members of the Peoples Democratic Party’s Presidential Campaign Council for the general elections in Rivers State in 2023, including Uche Secondus, a former national chairman of the party, have endorsed President Bola Tinubu and the state governor, Siminalayi Fubara.
Dr. Abiye Sekibo, the Director-General of PDP-PCC Rivers State and a former Minister of Transportation, made the announcement on Thursday during a news conference in Port Harcourt.
Among those in attendance at the briefing were Senator Lee Maeba, Dr. Gabriel Pidomson, the former secretary of the Rivers State government, Celestine Omehia, former deputy governor of the state, Tele Ikuru, and former House of Representatives deputy speaker Austin Opara.
In the most recent elections, the council endorsed Atiku Abubakar, the PDP’s nominee for president in 2023.
