The dynamism in politics and indeed in other social events are associated with the behavioral patterns of human interaction as well as the ecology of a given circumstance.
The Chairman and members of the Caretaker committee of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Rivers State have stumbled into a desperate scheme by Gov. Fubara and his Cohorts to JOIN THE APC as a face-saving device, having suffered emotional trauma engendered by the outcome of the decisions reached at the the PDP NWC meeting, wherein the caretaker committee that emerged in Rivers State is tilted heavily against his interest.
You will recall that Gov. Fubara’s outburst knew no bounds as he took a swipe at the National Leadership of his party(PDP)during a flag-off/foundation ceremony in Port Harcourt yesterday.
We are inundated with a plethora of information that Gov. Fubara’s efforts through lobbying of strategic stakeholders to reverse the decision or outright cancellation of the list (which is made public)fell on deaf ears as they do not want to incur the wrath of the FCT Minister who has led the party successfully in various dueling with the APC until recently.
The frustration of Gov Fubara by these Leaders’ refusal to backtrack has opened a vista of confusion and a hurriedly packaged ‘plan B’ option.
We have it on good authority that Governor Fubara has spoken and met with some leaders of the APC asking for an opening to JOIN THE APC as it is very clear he has lost out of the struggle for the control of the soul of the PDP in Rivers State and the only way to save his bruised ego.
The questions begging for answers are viz
1. how will Gov. Fubara reconcile his refusal to implement the Presidential Proclamation for Peace in Rivers State by the President and Commander-in-Chief, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, Leader of the APC and joining the APC
2. how will Gov. Fubara reverse all the actions planned and taken to frustrate the 27 State House of Assembly members who moved into the APC
3. what will Gov Fubara tell the Rivers People who he has told unprintable things about the APC, the President, the Assembly, members and indeed his benefactor- the FCT Minister, Chief Ezenwo Nyesom Wike CON and supporters who he has also threatened severally for standing with mr President on his initiatives for peace in our state and his firm belief in the RENEWED HOPE AGENDA.
As a party, we are open to welcoming any interested citizen who wish to join our ranks in pursuit of a new Nigeria as championed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR , through his well thought-out policy programs aimed at turning around the fortunes of Nigerians.
We are equally excited with the progress made by the new leadership of our party in the State under the Chairmanhip of Chief Tony Okocha and his team in repositioning the party by making it more attractive to the people.
It is very instructive to note that we remain very grateful to the FCT minister-Chief Ezenwo Nyesom Wike CON for the massive support he gave to the President during the 2023 Presidential election and his unprecedented efforts in bringing to reality the RENEWED HOPE AGENDA of Mr President in qualitative service delivery at the Federal Capital Territory Administration under his watch.
It is pertinent to say that, we (APC, Rivers State) are happy with the collaboration we have with the FCT Minister and his supporters which benefited our party with a huge success at the presidential election in the just concluded elections and are bent on strengthening it to ensure greater success for our party in the future.
Finally, we shall collaborate with any person or group in furtherance of our party’s interest.
We therefore request any person who is willing to join our party including but not limited to Gov Fubara to come clean through due process. We will not entertain ‘crisis entrepreneurs’ or those whose objective is to encourage rebellion, insurrection or destruction of our party. Interested members are welcome.
Thank you and God bless
Signed
