Idris Olanrewaju Okuneye, also referred to as Bobrisky, is a controversial social media celebrity and transvestite who acknowledged being a man prior to receiving a prison sentence.

According to reports, Bobrisky was given a six-month prison sentence without the possibility of a fine for misusing the Naira, the currency of Nigeria.

Bobrisky instantly said, “I am a man,” when the judge queried him about his sex before the punishment was handed out.

The judge decided that the sentence would start on March 24, 2024, the day of his arrest, and he was remanded to serve his jail term at the Ikoyi Correctional Center.

The Federal High Court in Lagos’s Justice Abimbola Awogboro, who imposed the term, said that it was important to prevent future abuse and mutilation of Naira actions.

Remember that on April 5, Bobrisky was found guilty on four counts of naira misuse that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, or EFCC, had brought against him.

Among the allegations were occurrences between 2022 and 2023 in which Bobrisky was allegedly accused of tampering with N400,000 at Imax Circle Mall in Jakande, Lekki; N50,000 at Aja Junction in Ikorodu; N20,000 at White Steve Event Hall in Ikeja; and an additional N20,000 at an event hall in Oniru, Victoria Island.
