The commendable efforts of the Honorable Barrister Chijioke Nwankwo, Chairman of Bende Local Government Area, keep garnering recognition across the state and federation! The recent recognition was from the revered Bende Council of Traditional Rulers.
Since the assumption of office a few months ago, Chairman Nwankwo has through the full support of His Excellency, Governor Alex Otti, diligently pursued infrastructural development and improvement projects throughout Bende LGA. The transformative impact of these initiatives has been undeniable, earning him the admiration of the entire Bende community.
In a light but special ceremony held yesterday, 2nd of May, at the residence of His Royal Highness, Eze Uchendu Okorie (Ekwo II of Akaekwo Uzuakoli Ancient Kingdom) with about fifty (50) Royal Majesties and Highnesses in attendance, The Mayor was bestowed with the prestigious chieftaincy title of ‘UGWU BENDE’ signifying “Pride of Bende.”
This prestigious honor acknowledges Chairman Nwankwo’s exemplary and all-inclusive leadership, which he has demonstrated in advancing sustainable and inclusive grassroots development in Bende LGA.
