The Biafra agitator under the Department of State Services’ (DSS) custody has been visited by Uchechi Kanu, the spouse of IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu.

She revealed that Senator Ifeanyi Ubah of Anambra South helped arrange for her contact with Kanu when he was being held by the DSS.

After being extradited from Kenya in 2021, Kanu was placed under the protection of the DSS.

It was learned prior to her visit that Mrs. Kanu had been refused access to her husband on several occasions.

Speaking to IPOB members via radio in the UK on Sunday, Uchechi thanked Ubah for organizing the trip.

She said: “Let me use this opportunity to thank Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, who moved swiftly to facilitate my visit to my husband in DSS custody. I thank you, sir.

“I thank other Igbo politicians, governors, and political office holders who are concerned about the plight of my husband.

”A lot of these elites are concerned about the unlawful detention of my husband, and are working silently to secure a round table discussion for his release. I’m thankful to them.”
