The electricity rate for Band A users has been lowered by the federal government.

Remember that the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) required N225/Kwh from consumers who received a daily supply of electricity for at least 20 hours.

However, Band A consumers must now pay N206.80/Kwh as per the approved review.

Ikeja Electric, in a notice to its customers on Monday, said, “Please be informed of the downward tariff review of our Band A feeders from N225/kwh to N206.80/kwh effective May 6, 2024, with guaranteed availability of 20–24 hours of supply daily.”

The tariffs for Bands B, C, D, and E remain unchanged.”
