It is alleged that an explosion occurred at the Niger State-based Zungeru Hydro Electricity Plant, which is valued at N1.3 billion in Nigeria.
It was learned that the explosion happened early on Monday morning.
The specifics of the explosion were hazy as of the time the report was filed.
Recall that in April, Adebayo Adelabu, the Minister of Power, declared that the 700 megawatt plant had been linked to the National Grid.
Nigeria’s electrical output climbed to 4,800MW from 4,200MW, according to Adebayo, despite the country’s projected 200 million+ inhabitants.
