Victor Osimhen of Napoli submitted a transfer request over the weekend, and Chelsea is prepared to increase their interest in him, according to The Evening Standard.
Samu Omorodion, a forward for Atletico Madrid, was about to sign with the Blues for €40 million, but the deal fell through.
Osimhen wants to leave Italy this summer and has a €130 million release clause in his current deal.
Romelu Lukaku’s possible trade with Chelsea and Napoli has been discussed in the past.
Osimhen’s departure would only be approved by Napoli if they received a bid that was close to his release clause.
But Osimhen has made it apparent that he wishes to depart, as Giovanni Manna, the sporting director, confirmed over the weekend: “Victor Osimhen has asked to leave the club. He wants to go.
“The situation is clear, there were already chances for his exit last summer. Victor wants to leave. We will see in the next 20 days.”
