The former minority leader of Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Chijioke Chukwu has praised Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Rt. Hon Benjamin Kalu for receiving the prestigious national honor of Commander of the Order of Niger (CON).
This recognition comes as part of Nigeria’s 64th Independence celebration, where notable individuals will receive national honors.
President Bola Ahmed announced this honor during his Independence Day speech, highlighting the achievements of several prominent Nigerians.
“The Senate President and the Chief Justice of the Federation have been conferred with the honour of the Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON). The deputy Senate President and Speaker of the House of Representatives have the honour of Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (CFR), while the Deputy speaker of the House has been awarded Commander of the Order of Niger (CON).
Hon. Chukwu commended Deputy Speaker Kalu, describing the national honor as well-deserved due to his exceptional leadership, patriotism, and dedication to humanity.
He said that Kalu’s leadership has made a significant impact, earning him widespread recognition across Nigeria.
“The Deputy Speaker is deserving of all the accolades. He has demonstrated extraordinary leadership in all the positions he has held as a politician. His kind of politics is driven by impact, and that’s why he’s celebrated across Nigeria.”
As the current Deputy Speaker, Kalu has demonstrated remarkable leadership since taking office on June 13, 2023.
“He is the man who preaches peace across the board, he believes in the unity of Nigeria, enterprising leadership and reaches out beyond party lines.”
The Former Bende North State Constituency Lawmaker commended President Bola Tinubu for the honour done to the Deputy Speaker.
