Yayari Mohammed, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) new acting national chairman, has received praise for his choice to go right inside the party.

In a statement released in Abuja, Ikenga Ugochinyere, the spokesperson for the coalition of opposition MPs, said, “The new acting chairman’s decision demonstrates his understanding of the urgency to reposition the party for greater electoral success ahead of the 2027 elections.”

He claims that it demonstrates that the National Chairman is aware of the pressing need among members of the once-largest African political party to purify the system, reestablish internal democracy, and reestablish harmony and unity inside the party.

Ugochinyere, the House of Representatives representative for Ideato North and South, noted that the PDP family has renewed optimism as a result of the Acting Chairman’s prompt measures.

In response to the chairman’s acceptance speech, Ugochinyere declared that his group in the House will back the new acting leadership in its determination to guarantee swift party change.
