The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has praised Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), for his dedication and loyalty to the party.
Taofeek Arapaja, the PDP Deputy National Chairman (South), lauded Wike during a book launch held in his honor, describing him as one of the party’s most committed leaders.
Arapaja acknowledged the internal challenges within the PDP, including members with an “entitlement mentality,” but emphasized that Wike continues to command admiration and respect for his contributions and steadfastness despite the difficulties.
The event underscored Wike’s influence within the party and his recognition as a key figure in its development.
Arapaja said: “We are proud as PDP members to say he’s one of our finest. Because if he’s not good enough I’m quite sure that some of our other political parties, obviously would not be looking for him. He’s making a lot of difference.
“The foundation of all political parties in Nigeria is PDP. So, I am surprised when someone who is a product of the PDP speaks negatively about it. That is not politics.
“Our mentor and principal, who has never left the PDP for a day, is one of the most committed and loyal party leaders we have ever had. He has done well, he is doing well, and we wish him well in all his future endeavours.
“We know you, and we always love and appreciate you. Some people believe in entitlement mentality, but we will always stand by you because you are a man of integrity, honour, and a performer.”
