Rev. Fr. Chinenye Oluoma, a Nigerian Catholic priest, has questioned the purpose of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), which receives annual donations from the Nigerian government to fund religious travel to Israel.
Oluoma said that a lot of digital start-ups, enterprises, and initiatives for young Christians may be funded with such funds.
The Abuja-based priest said that God gave man the mission and blessing of dominion and control of creation in Genesis 1 in a post titled “Look At The Birds” on his verified Facebook page on Wednesday.
However, he insisted that those with technology, not those with the biggest prayer halls and assemblies, hold the power and dominion.
Oluoma went on to say that countries with advanced technology outnumber those without, using the US and its B-2 bomber as an example.

“The American B-2 bomber is the most expensive aircraft, about a billion dollars. It is the kind of jet fighter that will drop its bomb and disappear before your defense radar detects it. The inspiration for its construction came to aeronautical engineers who LOOKED AT a bird called the peregrine falcon.
“The peregrine falcon is the fastest creature on earth. It can torpedo at almost 400 km/h to scoop its prey without damaging its respiratory organs. Agility and control at top speed are qualities of the peregrine that aeronautical engineers copy to make more sophisticated aircrafts. They “looked at the birds.” The nations with such technologies dominate those who don’t have.
“The same people are looking at the spider to recreate technologically what it does naturally. Spiders use protein to form silk, which they use for their webs.
“The same people are looking at the dragon fly to technologically reproduce its aerial and aerodynamic prowess. The helicopter is the first generation mimicry of the dragon fly, it is still no where near what the dragon fly does, and these scientists are still looking to upgrade to something closer.
“Why am I telling you all these? In Gen 1 God gave man the mandate and blessing of dominion and mastery of creation. That dominion and mastery are in the hands of those who have these technologies, not those with the largest prayer auditoriums and gatherings, who sing “I’m walking in power o, I’m walking in dominion”
“I know many of you will say he’s indirectly shading those who pray and bla bla bla. No, I’m not, i just led a prayer session, I will lead prayer sessions all my life. I’m just letting you see the open secret of earthly dominion. These nations with earthly dominion also pray. They just happen to be sensible enough to know the rhelm prayers control and the one controlled by technology.
“I’m also telling you this to get you angry enough, and authentically spiritual enough to say no to religious foolishness in our clime. As Christians, let’s even start with CAN (Christian Association of Nigeria). Do you know how much CAN collects from the Federal government to spend on religious tourism to Israel every year? Do you know how many tech start ups, businesses and ideas such money could have funded for young Christians?
“When you are angry enough to see what the money we dash Israel( who invests them in technology for the good of their country) can do for our young enterprising Christians, hit the love button please.
“We too can look at the birds, dragon flies, beavers, bats, cats etc and reproduce something technologically. We can only do this when we stop worrying about elementary things. When Jesus said “look at the birds, they neither sow nor reap, yet your heavenly Father provides for them…. “. It means that human beings should not worry about what they have the capabilities to tackle. If birds without the sophisticated intelligence to invent and use agriculture do not worry about food, human beings should not.
“People who looked at the peregrine falcon and invented the B-2 bomber do not worry about food, they have agricultural technology to take care of that. People who still worry about food, clothes, village people, ancestral curse, witches, spiritual husbands and other elementary issues cannot LOOK AT THE BIRDS and invent”.
