Ethan Nwaneri has been likened by former Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger to the team’s previous captain, Cesc Fàbregas.
Nwaneri is a “creator and special talent,” according to Wenger, who likened the 17-year-old’s mindset to that of a young Fàbregas.
This season, Nwaneri has made a big impression at Arsenal.
The 17-year-old has made a name for himself as one of European football’s best young players.
He played a significant role in Arsenal’s 2-0 victory over Leicester City at the King Power Stadium over the weekend.
“Nwaneri is more a creator of the final ball through his dribbling and the quality of his passes,” Wenger told beIN SPORTS.
“Fàbregas was very strong mentally, but this boy looks like he is as well.
“When I look at him and his maturity, it’s difficult for me to think that he’s 17 years old.
“The sign of a special talent is that they are ready early.”
