After Victor Osimhen led Galatasaray to victory at Caykur Rizespor on Monday night, the team’s captain, Fernando Muslera, showered the forward with praise.
Osimhen scored two goals for Okan Buruk’s team during the 2-1 triumph.
In 18 league games so far this season, the Nigerian international has netted 12 goals for the Turkish Super Lig winners.
Muslera said that having the 26-year-old on the club is fortunate for the Yellow and Reds.
“He really puts in a lot of effort and fights every minute. He never gives up. We are all grateful to play with a player like him,” he told club’s official website.
“We knew we would achieve something as a result of supporting him. Today, he scored the goals that brought us victory. The second half allowed us to find ourselves even better and to score very effectively from a dead ball.”
