All Lagos House of Assembly members must be included as parties to the lawsuit filed by Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, according to an order from the Lagos High Court in Ikeja.

In order to hear all outstanding applications, Justice Yetunde Pinheiro has also postponed the case until March 7.

On January 13, 2025, Hon. Obasa went to court to contest his dismissal, which at least 36 of his colleagues had done.

According to his lawyer, Senior Advocate of Nigeria Chief Afolabi Fashanu, who submitted the case on February 12, 2025, the claimant claimed that 36 MPs had fired him from his job on January 13, 2025, while he was abroad.

In order to represent Hon. Mojisola Meranda, Senior Advocate of Nigeria Mr. Tayo Oyetibo is coordinating with Bimbo Akeredolu and other attorneys.

While Senior Advocates Olu Daramola and Dada Awosika are representing other parties wishing to be joined in the suit, Senior Advocate of Nigeria Femi Falana is leading Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Muiz Banire, and other counsels in representing the 36 MPs.
