Referring to the Vatican, The pope’s funeral is set for this Saturday; it was stated that he passed away following a stroke and heart arrest.
Cardinals from all over the globe were said to gather in the Sistine Chapel to hold a secret vote to choose the new pope following nine days of mourning activities.
All ballots are burned following the procedure, which often takes two to three weeks.

Meanwhile, the “camerlengo” (or chamberlain) will be Cardinal Kevin Farrell, an Irish-born American who became a naturalized citizen.
