Ibas Declares Open 4-day Training Workshop For Rivers Civil Servants

The Transformational Leadership Training workshop, starting today, Monday 19th May 2025, will last for four days, with seasoned experts exposing industry based skills, knowledge and tools to the selected senior civil servants, capable of enhancing their level of productivity.

Rivers State Administrator, Vice Admiral (Rtd), Ibok Ete Ekwe lbas, declared the workshop open in Port Harcourt, organised by the State government in partnership with National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies(NIPSS) for Permanent Secretaries, Local Government Administrators, Heads of Local Government administration and Directors of Ministries.

Vice Admiral Ibas said the training is geared towards equiping civil servants with knowledge and insight that will enable them perform with greater productivity and efficiency.

He said, “This training is designed to equip you with the tools and insight necessary to lead through complexity, champion reforms, strengthen local government autonomy and deliver meaningful results to our communities.

“I urge you to embrace it fully with open minds and a clear commitment to translate learning into actions.

“Only regular training can combat the ills of stagnancy, offering lifelong experiences that enable workers to adapt, grow, and ensure real transformation in governance.

“Let me assure you again, this administration is fully committed to building strong institutions, promoting efficiency, fostering results driven public service. We are laying the foundation for a good governance culture, one that will serve, not just present generation but those coming behind us. That is how great societies are built.”
